My name is Marissa Richey, and I’m a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and an LPC-bound counselor here at Holistically Divine Counseling. At the heart of my work are values that deeply matter to me—honesty, self-improvement, accountability, and authenticity. I believe these principles not only shape the therapeutic relationship but also empower meaningful change in your day-to-day life.
With nearly two decades of experience working with the public, I’ve come to understand how deeply personal growth and navigating life’s challenges are intertwined. The therapeutic journey can feel intimidating or overwhelming at times, and I want you to know—you’re not alone. I’m here to walk beside you through every step.
People have always fascinated me. We all carry unique stories shaped by different backgrounds, life experiences, and struggles. And yet, it’s the connections we make—with family, our communities, and most importantly, with ourselves—that can transform our lives. I truly believe we’re all doing the best we can to find peace and normalcy in a world that often feels anything but.
I don’t believe in coincidences. I believe life gives us messages and signs to guide us—it’s just a matter of whether we choose to notice them. Cultivating self-awareness and staying open to what life offers us can be powerful tools for healing and growth.
Every person is different, and that’s what makes this work so beautiful. I feel especially honored to support adolescents, adults, couples, and individuals who have experienced trauma. My therapeutic approach is tailored to each person I work with, because I believe therapy should meet you where you are. I tend to be straightforward—I won’t beat around the bush—but always with compassion and care.
My work is grounded in client-centered and person-centered therapy, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). We are in this together, and I feel truly privileged to be part of your journey toward healing and self-discovery.
